Makiko Okamoto

Okamoto’s work often reflects her origins, surrounded by nature in a rural town near the suburbs of Kyoto, Japan. Daily life occurrences that are often hidden in contemporary society inform her intimate pieces.  Her work is exhibited on both coasts of the U.S and Japan.
